Occupational Therapy

Personalized occupational therapy care

Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic that helps parents navigate through the unknowns of their child’s early development foundation and throughout their life.  We are committed to providing exceptional care to children who require special attention and personalized care. At Pediatric Therapy, we believe that all children should be empowered to achieve their full potential and excel in their environment.

Occupational therapists dedicated to the needs of your child

Our occupational therapists at Pediatric Therapy help children participate in the activities they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and occupations. We focus on evaluating, treating and helping children with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives.

The occupational therapy areas addressed include but are not limited to visual-perceptive skills, sensory skills, motor skills, activities of daily living, neuromuscular skills and coordination. Our experienced occupational therapists use play and exercise to treat a variety of conditions and create customized interventions to improve a child’s ability to perform functional daily activities. Individualized evaluations and treatment plans help ensure that children are reaching their goals while functioning and developing at the highest possible level.

Occupational therapists may also provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, guidance and education for family members and caregivers. Our occupational therapists at Pediatric Therapy are focused on teaching children the skills to carry out activities of daily living in order to lead a self-reliant, rich and satisfying life. In addition to these treatments, our occupational therapists give parents home programs designed for their child’s age and diagnosis. These home programs allow the child to continue improving between their in-office appointments.

Does your child need occupational therapy treatment?

Children may require occupational therapy treatments if they need improvement or treatment in any of the following areas:

  • Activities of daily living skills – Dressing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, home skills, school skills
  • Sensory modulation – Touch, hearing, vision
  • Fine motor skills – Coloring, handwriting, cutting
  • Gross motor skills – Balance and coordination, motor planning and execution
